Natural Gardening Inspired from the Wisdom of Ancestral Practices!

Garden Of Life Community Projects is a growing group of families & friends gardening with the wisdom of ancestral practices using techniques of permaculture, composting, no-dig gardening, and biodynamic gardening. The goal is to help enhance the health of the Carolina's red clay soil we have here, but the techniques can improve basically the quality of the soil everywhere we are in the world. What drives us overall is to improve the microbiome of the soil, to promote biodiversity, and resilience in our garden with natural organic matter, while focusing on local resources and sustainable methods.
Furthermore, from a functional holistic health and wellness perspective, by working on regenerating the health of our soil to be more efficient, free of any conventional chemicals, it improves the quality and the nutrient density of the food we grow and we eat. As a result, it nourishes our body as well with more nutrient dense and more flavorful food. To go more in-depth, it brings more biodiversity in our gut, when eating a variety of whole food and what's in season. To finish, it helps maintain the microbiome of our intestines balanced for optimal health, since about 70-80% of our immune system resides in our gut.
In a nutshell to combine it all, like Stephanie would say: "The future of our health is in our own hands!"
Through Garden Of Life Community Projects' social media we share about various topics. We invite you to read the different sections below and learn about "Little Peace of Heaven”, "Meet Susan & Charlie", "About the Community Garden", and "How did it started?".

We are showcasing about what we are doing at "Little Peace of Heaven" as a permaculture homestead farm and the various ways of composting.
Through regular posts, we share about what Susan and Charlie are doing on the farm, the various techniques used through the seasons in our ongoing projects, their evolution, the work we are doing in the Community Garden we are developing on site, and promoting various events and tours happening.
If you are looking for Family Field Trips to do with your family and children away from the city to reconnect with nature, the elements, and learn about permaculture gardening, Stephanie, Susan, and Charlie organize through the year open doors to introduce your family and children to permaculture gardening and composting!
A great way to disconnect and reduce chronic stress from our modern life! Stay tuned on our social media platforms for ongoing Families and Homeschooling Families dates tours.

We don’t have to live on a farm to use permaculture principles and experience the benefits. Stephanie also share what can be done in more suburban scale gardens, away from the farm, using permaculture and composting techniques.
If you are local to Charlotte, NC and you would like to learn about permaculture, soil regeneration, and how to build raised beds, DIY composting, and more in your own garden, Stephanie can help you through the process… She invites you to contact her with any gardening questions and follow our social media platforms for more educational posts and videos.

You don't know where to start!
We officially started the Community Garden from scratch in Fall 2022 to have hands-on experiences! [...]
Upon her arrival, she and her family were welcomed by two wonderful and generous people, and met Susan & Charlie. She witnessed a suburban backyard reconverted entirely into a vegetable garden. If you are familiar with the Carolina's type of soil you know it's all red clay. This garden had none of it. It was squishy as she was walking on it, spongy, rich in black soil, and covered with an abundance of food growing. [...]
